ABOUT US

Ryan and Lauren's writing and performing experience spans over twelve years.

​

As a writing duo, Carey-Hills & Hendricks wrote ’”Nursery Crimes” - a comedy musical which received rave reviews, was listed by the Evening Standard as one of the Top 10 New Musicals, and reached the semi-finals of the West End Producer competition. Carey-Hills & Hendricks were also approached to write original music as part of a season of new works at the New Players Theatre (now Charing Cross Theatre). Their most recent musical, “Wytch”, is a powerful female-led show about the Lancashire witch trials in 1612. They also produced a showcase of their work at a sell-out concert “Put The Kettle On” in 2018.​ Carey-Hills & Hendricks are also known for their political satire and comedy songs on TikTok and have provided music for various advertising campaigns.

 

Last year Carey-Hills & Hendricks were commissioned to write Tinker Bell the Musical.

Ryan has composed and arranged pieces for many events, showcases and cabarets; and has arranged music for various choirs and groups around the UK.

 

As a composer and musician, he also works alongside up and coming Soul artist JoCee and has performed at the renowned Ronnie Scott’s; The Jazz Cafe in Camden; and Brasserie Zedel, as well as Live performances on BBC Radio London.

Lauren’s writing credits include a stage adaptation of ’Narnia’ in collaboration with the CS Lewis Estate; and several pantomimes for Hen’s Theatre Company. Completed screenplays include ‘La Maupin’; ‘Cockroach’; and a short film “In Rümî’s Field”, which received an honourable mention from Scriptwriters Co, and goes into filming production later this year.

Lauren completed the TheatreMakers Studio courses in Production and Script Development Mastery in 2021.
